Fundraiser held to benefit typhoon relief efforts

BERGENFIELD, NJ (OCT 10, 2009) — The Aparri International Humanitarian Foundation (Aparri, We Care) hosted a fundraising dinner event to benefit victims of recent typhoons in the Philippines.

More than 140 people attended the event, including representatives from the Philippines Independence Day Council. It was Aparri, We Care’s first benefit dance.

Proceeds of the event go to help victims of Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana), which triggered severe flooding in Manila last month, and victims of Typhoon Pepeng (Parma), which caused damage in Aparri earlier this month.
